Yusuf Malik Frederick holds a JD in law and a PGD in Psychology. He also has a BA in Theology and extensive experience in pastoral counseling. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Trauma Psychology, his research focuses on Spiritual Abuse and Religious Trauma, Multicultural psychology, Collective trauma, Disaster trauma treatment, Marriage and Family relationships within the context of trauma, and Historically racialized and Intergenerational trauma. He shares his research and collaborates with scholars and students through this platform. His work centers on addressing the challenges faced by marginalized groups, such as African Americans, Caribbean, and Black Muslim families in the American context, and explores the impact of religious trauma and collective trauma on these individuals.
